Starting today, there’s a new way to get deals into Archer: email them.
Send or forward any deal to deals@archer.re and it lands in your Deal Inbox, matched to the property, documents attached, ready to underwrite. A marketed deal from a broker you like working with. An off-market opportunity. The package your partner forwarded with “thoughts?” as the entire message. If it’s in your email, one forward puts it in your deal machine.
That’s the feature. One address, any deal. Here’s why it matters.
Teams get deals in different ways, and they like working in different ways. Some run Deal Sourcing and let Archer monitor the market continuously, streaming deals into their Deal Inbox automatically, documents and all. Some live in their email and want to choose what goes in. Most do both. Archer now meets you in both places.
There are three paths into your Deal Inbox:
Use one. Use all three. The Deal Inbox, which officially graduates out of beta this week, was built to handle every path. And because real deals rarely travel a single road, Archer recognizes when the same deal arrives through more than one and shows you every source on the deal in one place: the sourcing hit, the forward, the share. No more “was that deal in email, or in the system, or in Dave’s head?” It’s in the Inbox. It’s all in the Inbox.
For any deal that arrives by email, there’s always been an invisible tax: the distance between a deal arriving and a deal being workable. Download the attachments. Log in. Create the property. Upload the files. Figure out which T12 was the real one. Five minutes if you’re at your desk and paying attention. But you’re not always at your desk, so deals pile up in email, and the pile is where prioritization quietly happens by accident.
deals@archer.re deletes the tax. Forward it from your phone, from the parking lot, from the conference floor. By the time you’re at your desk, it’s not an email anymore. It’s a deal in your queue.
One place email really shines: the deals no system can find for you. The off-market opportunity a broker shows three groups. The quiet pocket listing. The “for your eyes only” package from a relationship you’ve spent years building. Those deals never hit a listing site, which meant they never had an automatic way into your deal machine. Now they land in your Deal Inbox like everything else, next to the deals Deal Sourcing brought in overnight.
Here’s the compounding part, the part we care about most.
In March we wrote about the mindset shift that happens when parsing costs nothing: you stop rationing analysis. Every rent roll becomes proprietary rent comps and every T12 becomes expense comps mapped to your Chart of Accounts. Your comp database, your Digital Deal Brain, grows every time anyone on your team touches a file.
deals@archer.re drops the cost of “touching a file” to a forward. The deal you’ll ultimately pass on? Forward it anyway. Sixty seconds of thumb work, and the deal you passed on still paid you: in comps, in market coverage, in a sharper baseline for the deals you do chase.
Today, an emailed deal lands ready to underwrite. The next step, and it’s coming, is auto-parsing and underwriting on arrival: the moment a deal hits your Deal Inbox, from any path, the analysis has already started.
That’s the direction everything we build points. Less time between a deal showing up and a decision getting made. Eventually, no time at all.
Try it now: forward the last deal sitting in your inbox to deals@archer.re, then open your Deal Inbox.
Who can email deals in? Any user on your Archer account. Send or forward from your registered email address and the deal lands in your organization’s Deal Inbox.
What file types work? The same documents you’d upload directly: rent rolls and T12s in Excel or PDF, OMs, and supporting files.
What if we can’t match the property? You’ll get an email back right away letting you know, so nothing disappears silently. And coming shortly: an Unmatched Deals tab in the Deal Inbox, so those land in your queue too.
What happens to the email itself? Nothing leaves your control. Documents land in your Deal Inbox inside your account, covered by the same SOC 2 Type II audited security as everything else in Archer.
