There’s a line we’ve used in almost every conversation about where this industry is heading: headcount is no longer the competitive currency. Data and infrastructure are.
Go to docs.archer.re.
Every underwrite you build and every document you parse in Archer adds to a dataset only you have: your underwriting history, your benchmarks, your property performance. Financials mapped to your own Chart of Accounts at your own granularity, comps that build automatically with every file touched. This data is the financial backbone of your track record. It’s your Digital Deal Brain.
Until now, it lived in Archer. Starting today, you can build on it directly.
The first release of our public API is available now for Pro clients, free during the beta, with documentation at docs.archer.re. Available today: property information, location metrics, and your underwriting data, the core of every deal record in your account, behind clean, documented endpoints.
What teams build on it is up to them, but the first patterns are already obvious:
Your data was always yours. That’s been our position since day one, and it’s why our SOC 2 Type II audit covers the full pipeline your data moves through, not a single app. The API is that principle made practical: yours to keep, and now yours to move.
We’re deliberately starting focused and expanding fast, and we’ll tell you the order out loud:
The roadmap for this surface will be shaped by the teams building on it. That’s not a platitude; it’s how we’ve built everything else. In-App Parsing, Custom COA, BYOM: every one of them got where it is because clients told us, specifically and repeatedly, what they needed. If there’s an endpoint you need, tell us. You’ll probably see it sooner than you expect.
One more thing, briefly, because it deserves its own announcement when it lands: an Archer MCP server is on the way. MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) connect directly to live systems. Which means, soon: “Which deals in my pipeline have expense ratios above my portfolio average?” asked in plain English, answered from your live Archer data. No exports. No copy-paste. No stale spreadsheet pretending to be current.
If you want early access when it ships, reply to this post’s email or ping your Archer team. We’re building the early list now.
Docs: docs.archer.re. Hit Request an API key right on the docs page and we’ll get you set up. We’re onboarding beta users hands-on right now, which means your feedback directly shapes what ships next. Build something this week, and show us what you build. The first few client integrations are getting written up, and we’d love yours to be one of them.
What’s in the API today? Property information, location metrics, and underwriting data. Comps are next, then full Rent Roll and T12 parsed detail. See the roadmap above.
What does API access cost? The API is in limited beta and free for Pro clients during the beta. It isn’t available on Starter yet.
How do I authenticate? Bearer token. API keys are issued per user; request yours from the docs page and we’ll hand it over directly during the beta.
Are there rate limits? Yes: 10 requests per minute during the beta, documented at docs.archer.re
Is my data secure in transit? Yes. The API sits inside the same SOC 2 Type II audited infrastructure as the rest of the platform, and your proprietary data remains fully isolated to your organization.
